Terms of Service
Last updated July 25, 2026
These terms apply when you use our website or book a class with Carolina Pulse. By reserving a seat, you agree to them.
Our services
We provide in-person CPR training and certification taught by AHA-certified instructors serving Chapel Hill, Durham, and the surrounding Triangle. Successful participants receive an official certification card valid for two years.
Booking and payment
This website does not take payments. Submitting a request does not reserve a seat or create a contract. We will contact you to confirm the date, the price, and how payment is handled before anything is booked.
Refunds and rescheduling
No refunds, but you can reschedule for up to 90 days after your class date.
Certification and cards
To earn certification you must attend the full class, take part in the hands-on skills, and pass the skills check and written test. When you pass, we issue your Official AHA eCard, typically within 24 hours of passing your class. Cards are issued through the American Heart Association Training Center we work with.
Relationship to the American Heart Association
Carolina Pulse is an independent business. Our instructors are AHA-certified, but Carolina Pulse is not an AHA Training Center and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the American Heart Association.
Attendance and conduct
Please arrive on time and ready to participate. Certification depends on completing the required skills, so late arrival or missing part of the class may mean you cannot be certified that day and will need to reschedule.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Our classes are educational and are meant to prepare you to respond in an emergency. They are not medical advice and do not guarantee any specific outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carolina Pulse is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or participation in a class. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be waived under law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the current version.
